EURASHE (European Association of Institutions in Higher Education) is founded in 1990 and it promotes Professional Higher Education (PHE). Three main purposes of the network:
- to promote the interests of PHE at national and European level
- to cooperate internationally on the development of PHE
- to promote internationalisation within its member institutions.
Last year, Turku UAS also joined the European University for Academic Continuing Education (EU.ACE) consortium. The aim is to strengthen cooperation with European higher education institutions in continuous learning, e.g. in continuing education.

– It is our great pleasure to be accepted as member of EURASHE. The association has done excellent work in building a better future for European higher education. I strongly believe that with EURASHE, EU.ACE and Turku University of Applied Sciences working together we can transform the landscape for continuing education, Vesa Taatila, Rector and President of Turku University of Applied Sciences, says.
– I am delighted that Turku University of Applied Science has become a member of EURASHE. I am especially looking forward to exchanging on transnational cooperation and continuing education, where Turku UAS and the EU.ACE alliance have a lot to contribute, says Hannes Raffaseder, President of EURASHE.
