Thank you very much for the good cooperation in the year 2024. During the past year, we have again met many of you, our international partners, both in Turku and Salo and abroad. It has been a great pleasure for us at Turku University of Applied Sciences to work with you.

For Turku University of Applied Sciences, 2024 will be the third record year in a row. A record number of future experts will graduate from Turku UAS. We have carried out more research, development and innovation projects than ever before, and at the same time they have been more closely linked to the needs of businesses and organizations in our region. We have also been actively involved in international education and research networks.
We have defined as our strategic goal to make an impact across the world of work. In the future, we will work even harder than before to help develop the green economy, a good life and hybrid working both in Southwest Finland and more widely in the Baltic Sea region and beyond.
Both local and international partnerships are at the heart of everything we do, bringing added value to our learning, research and development.
We are happy to do this work together with you.
Thank you very much for the year 2024. An exquisitely peaceful festive season and an even better year of sustainable growth in 2025.
Vesa Taatila, Rector of Turku University of Applied Sciences
Christmas donation to Mieli ry
Our Christmas donation target this year is Mieli ry (MIELI Mental Health Finland), with whom we collaborated at Ruisrock rock festival last summer.
Mental health services for young people are severely congested. Young people in need of help are left in queues, and too many people’s problems get worse. Young people need and deserve more help. With Mieli ry’s Christmas campaign, more and more young people are receiving support for strengthening their mental health.
“Mieli ry does critically important work in supporting young people through difficult stages of life. With their help, many students have gained new hope in their lives, says Rector Vesa Taatila.
A good life, i.e. people’s well-being, is also one of our strategic themes.
