Photographic Art

The degree programme is intended for photography professionals who want to deepen and develop their artistic skills. During the studies, current phenomena and themes in contemporary art and photography are examined in relation to one’s own work. The education is part of the Master School, where you study for a Master’s degree flexibly while working.

Study contents

The aim of the Master’s Degree Programme in Photography is to develop, evaluate and apply the student’s own artistic work. During the studies, current phenomena and themes in contemporary art and photography are examined in relation to one’s own work. At the core of the training is a self-reflective learning process, which is guided, scheduled and includes systematic documentation of one’s own work. The artist’s identity as well as the contents of one’s own professionalism and views related to one’s profession are examined in the professional biography process.   This degree programme is conducted only in Finnish.
