Bachelor's Degree

Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Health Care

Educating experts in Occupational Therapy

An occupational therapist is an expert in rehabilitation who works with the client as a partner, towards a meaningful and functional everyday life; a daily life that is always more than just coping. The expertise of an occupational therapist is based on occupational science, which studies the activities of people and groups of people of all ages in everyday life.

Occupational therapy is based on a comprehensive evaluation of the client’s occupational performance and environment. You will learn to evaluate your client’s individual needs and enable them to participate in their important everyday functions, work, play and leisure time regardless of their illness and disability. You will also acquire the skills needed to utilize technology and modify the environment to support your customer’s occupation.

In the future, occupational therapists will be increasingly needed, for example, to support the elderly population living at home, to support the well-being and growth of children and young people, and to prevent exclusion, to enable a balanced life for customers, to assess and maintain work ability, and to rehabilitate work activities.
