What is preparatory programme?
In the preparatory programme for higher education studies in nursing, you will study Finnish, nursing maths and English. You will also develop the study skills you need for university of applied sciences (UAS) studies.
The programme is conducted in Finnish. You must have a minimum level B1 skills in Finnish. See the language skills assessment table.
Once you have completed the preparatory programme, you can apply for the degree programme in Nursing for immigrants without an entrance exam. The degree programme in Nursing for immigrants offers a lot of support for learning Finnish and developing language skills in nursing.
The preparatory programme is full-time studies and it is free of charge. The preparatory programme is not a justification for obtaining the residence permit.
