Study contents

The operating environments of arts and culture professionals are constantly changing. Today’s artistry and working life require professional competence in different situations, with different partners and in different operating environments, developing and experimenting with new solutions. 

The aim of the New Contexts of Art degree programme is for students to be able to place their own competence in new contexts and to utilise or apply their competence in new ways. The education examines and produces art in diverse spaces, contexts, processes and among different actors. Interdisciplinary and multiprofessional approaches are key contents of the education. The studies emphasise a networked and communal way of working; Cooperation is carried out with different fields of art and other industries. Oman the contents of professionalism and views related to the profession are examined in identity work carried out in the professional biography process.

This degree programme is conducted only in Finnish.
