Oral hygiene services
We provide preventive and aesthetic dental and oral health care as dental hygienist’s services. The treatments are done by dental hygienist students at Turku University of Applied Sciences under the guidance of our experts.
You can visit our clinic without a referral or with a referral from a dentist. In addition to private individuals, we also offer services to companies, associations, researchers and research groups. Please note that treatments by students can not be reimbursed by Kela. Our services include:

Appointments for spring 2025 now available
We use an electronic appointment system. You can book an appointment to assess the need for treatment through the electronic appointment system. If possible, we start the treatment already on the first visit.

Please note that our appointment times are longer to ensure high-quality treatment. Please reserve enough time for the visit (90 minutes).
Select Assessment of the need for treatment aesthetic (in Finnish: esteettinen) when booking an appointment for teeth whitening or tooth gem application. For other services, select Assessment of the need for treatment – preventative (in Finnish: ennaltaehkäisevä).
Please note! If you wish to receive a confirmation of the time you booked, give your email address when booking the appointment.
Please do not come to the clinic if you have symptoms of respiratory tract infection, such as a runny nose, cough, sore throat or fever
Our services are private services provided by Turku University of Applied Sciences and carried out by oral hygienist students. It is not possible to book appointments with oral hygienist students for services provided by the Southwest Finland Wellbeing Services County (Varha) or the Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS).
Cancellations
If you can’t make it to your appointment, please cancel your reservation no later than one day before
- by email sunsuu@turkuamk.fi
- or by responding to the automatic reminder. When you reply to the automatic reminder, add your personal identity code to the message.
Same-day cancellations must be made by text message or by calling +358 50 468 6124.
We charge 50% of the service or the price of the entire service if the reservation is not cancelled and you do not show up.
Please only come to the clinic if you are healthy.
Our customers
We provide services to individuals, companies, associations, researchers and research groups.
Due to the openness of our facilities, we cannot take customers who carry MRSA (multi-resistant hospital bacteria). We are also currently not treating children.
When booking an appointment, please note that unfortunately, air polishing is not possible for customers with asthma or similar respiratory diseases.

Our services
We always carry out an individual needs assessment on the first visit. The treatment is planned together with the customer on the basis of the assessment. If necessary, we have a consulting dentist.
We do not provide dentist services (dental diagnoses, dental fillings or extraction) or write medical certificates.
Cleaning packages
Depending on the state of your teeth, the treatment is carried out over one or two visits.
Plaque and tartar removal includes an assessment of the need for treatment, removal of plaque and tartar, guidance for at-home care, gritty toothpaste, and fluoride treatment. The total price of the package depends, among other things, on how much plaque you have and the number of treatment visits.

Massage and relaxation of chewing muscles
The massage and relaxation of chewing muscles and guiding the customer in at-home massage techniques may be part of the overall treatment of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, and may help alleviate headaches caused by tenseness.
Massage and relaxation of chewing muscles enhances circulation and metabolism in the muscles, reduces tension and relaxes the muscles.
The prices include the office service fee.
