TOVE-DIGI – Networking for entrepreneurial communities
Duration of the project
Source of funding
REACT-EU
Total funding
178 665 €
The restrictions on gatherings imposed by the COVID-19 undermined the development and maintenance of a culture of student entrepreneurial communities. Tacit knowledge of community practices is normally transmitted through spontaneous encounters and unplanned interaction. The project aims to identify digital platforms and solutions to help student entrepreneurial communities create and maintain their culture.
The student entrepreneur communities, or academies, have created a network of young entrepreneurs at national level. The constraints imposed by COVID-19 have led the academies to share their experiences and best practices. The aim of the project is to find a workable platform for teams to network and connect with other similar academy businesses nationwide.
The interest rate pandemic has also hampered the networking of Turku Entrepreneurs’ members. In particular, it has made it difficult to meet new contacts and customers and to make spontaneous introductions. The aim of the project is to find solutions for the networking of Turku Entrepreneurs using digital platforms and delivery methods. The project will implement events in the Turku Entrepreneurs’ calendar in a digital environment, piloting different platforms and practices.
The project will also create a virtual reality environment that will be piloted to enable informal interactions and unplanned encounters.
The project is funded by the REACT-EU instrument as part of the European Union’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
