Taikusydän is a multisectoral coordination centre and national network for arts and health in Finland. We work towards connecting the people working across the growing and diverse field of arts & health. Taikusydän Coordination Centre was launched in the end of 2015.
The main activities of Taikusydän:
- Collect and deliver knowledge about good practices, publications, funding possibilities, projects and research.
- Coordinate a national network of researchers, foster interdisciplinary discussions, and disseminate information about the arts & health research.
- Promote regional, national, Nordic and international cooperation.
- Inform and promote multiprofessional collaboration at all levels between artists, arts and health professionals, health and social care professionals, educators, academics, policymakers and public officers.
- Strengthen the cooperation within academic research in the field of arts and health and the practical work that is executed in the various projects to develop evidence-informed practice.
- Act as a development partner in various projects and work groups, organize seminars and workshops related to the field of arts and health.
