How can a journalist highlight and deconstruct the imbalance of power?

The project produces series of lectures and workshops for journalism students. The module will address global inequalities from the perspective of the UN’s Agenda 2030.

The course is partly generalist: it highlights various phenomena of inequality and their causes, both at global and country level. In particular, inequalities are addressed from the perspective of the media and journalists. The course will consider whether the media reinforces inequality, how journalism should address inequality, whether journalists can address inequality by making certain choices – and whether they can be good journalists at the same time.
