In the Exercise and Food Test Platform Services project, the services of the Paavo Nurmi Centre and the Flavoria® research platform of the University of Turku and the Turku University of Applied Sciences’ Exercise Laboratory and Health Technology Laboratory are integrated into a test platform that supports companies in developing exercise and/or food-related products and services in the following ways:
- usability assessment
- mapping user experiences
- evaluating the performance and quality of a service or product
- impact studies
- guidance on the regulation of health products and medical devices.
The development of the test platform is based on collaborative methods. Representatives from product development companies will be involved alongside the project actors in defining the platform services, developing service processes and productising and testing the services.
Multidisciplinary and accessible service
The project will result in a test platform for the development of sports and food products, where
- offers a range of services tailored to the testing needs of product development companies developing sports and food products and services.
- the service processes of the test platform are coherent, clear and easily accessible.
- the service is multidisciplinary and covers specific issues related to sports and food products.
- the service is integrated into the Terttu service.
