The GreenSAM project promotes green urban mobility by drawing attention to the special needs of seniors in terms of mobility.
The project focuses on reducing passenger car traffic among seniors, engaging seniors, as well as increasing sustainable, functioning transport solutions for seniors.
The project seeks, tests and establishes various involvement methods that target the active senior population and promote sustainable transport. Those of the methods that work the best will be collected in a toolbox for municipal stakeholders, decision-makers and parties involved in transport planning. The intention is to apply the toolbox in the cities the project targets and also more widely in the entire Baltic Sea region. The project participants include city or municipal stakeholders from Germany, Estonia, Latvia, Denmark and Finland.
