How to apply
All the exchange study applications are submitted through our Mobility-Online portal. Please see below for information on eligibility, application deadlines and application process and required documents.
For a student: A-B-C’s for applying to exchange studies

Before applying, contact the international office at your home institution to make sure that you are eligible for exchange studies or practical training at Turku UAS.

Your home institution needs to nominate you as an applicant to Turku UAS.

After you have been nominated on our online system by your home institution, you will receive an automated e-mail including information and instructions to the whole application process.

Make sure you’re nominated and that you have filled in the application in our Mobility-Online system including the required application documents before the application deadline.
For the partner institutions
We have an online nomination process for our partners and accept only online nominations via the Mobility-Online system of Turku UAS. Please nominate the students from your university through the link at the e-mail you have received from us.
If you have not received any link, please contact incoming.exchange@turkuamk.fi.
If you have already sent us the nomination by e-mail, please submit it again using our Mobility-Online portal.
We accept digital learning agreements via Erasmus+ Dashboard.

Application process
After you have been nominated on the online system by your home institution, you will receive an automated e-mail including information and instructions to the whole application process. Below, you’ll find step-by-step instructions for the application process in our Mobility-Online system.
Step 1 – Online application system
- After you have been nominated as an applicant by your home institution, you’ll receive registration instructions and a link to our Mobility-Online system by e-mail. Please use the link at the end of this e-mail to register. Make sure that you select the correct exchange programme:
- Erasmus student exchange (EU, long-term) = Students from Erasmus partner institutions, length of the stay 2 months or more.
- Erasmus practical training (EU, long-term) = Students from Erasmus partner institutions who will do their practical training at Turku UAS, length of the stay 2 months or more.
- Other student exchange = Students from all other partner institutions, length of the stay 3 months or more.
- Other practical training = Students from all other partner institutions who will do their practical training at Turku UAS, length of the stay 3 months or more.
- Nordplus student exchange = Students from Nordplus partner institutions.
- Short-term exchange = Students whose exchange studies or practical training at Turku UAS is 5 to 30 days.
- Fill in your personal details, contact person in case of emergencies and information about your home institution and current studies.
- Fill in your language skills and your estimated date of arrival.
- Area of study / Degree Programme: Choose the degree programme which you will be studying at Turku UAS.
- Studies / Practical training begins and ends at Turku UAS.
- Check the semester dates.
- Click “Send application”
Within a few minutes you will receive a confirmation e-mail from Turku UAS with a link to proceed with your online application.
Step 2 – Filling in your personal information
- Click the link in the confirmation email to proceed to your online application form.
- After logging in to the system, click “Complete personal data” and fill in your contact information.
- Click “Create”.
Step 3 – Uploading application documents
Upload the required documents for your application:
- Passport photo
- Motivation letter in English: state your interest and tell why you want to study in Turku UAS and in Finland, what are your interests professionally and personally. Max. 1 page.
- Transcript of records in English: a list of the courses and grades which you have done so far in your studies. You can usually request this from your home university’s student office.
- Learning Agreement
- Online Learning Agreement (Students from EU countries and Erasmus+ Programme)
- In case Online Learning agreement is not applicable, use the form: For students from EU countries and Erasmus+ Global exchange programme
- Learning agreement form: For students from non-EU countries
- Curriculum Vitae in English. You can use, for example Europass CV form.
- A list of courses can be found at the Courses page. NB: You can only choose courses from one faculty.
In addition: if you are applying to Art Academy, you need to send the your portfolio or a link to an online portfolio by email to jussi-pekka.piiparinen@turkuamk.fi. Do not upload portfolio to Mobility Online.
Faculty international relations staff at Turku UAS will inform you if any additional documents are needed.
Step 4 – Acceptance to Turku UAS
- You will receive the information concerning your acceptance to Turku UAS by email.
- We will send you also information about studies at Turku UAS, living in Finland and other important information. Check also the before arrival page.
- Once you have received the acceptance from Turku UAS, you can apply for accommodation .
Language requirements
Turku UAS does not require an English language proficiency test from incoming exchange students. However, in order to successfully complete the exchange studies at Turku UAS, the students should meet at least the following requirements: level B2 in English on the CERF scale.
Tuition fees and scholarships
There are no tuition fees for the exchange students coming from Turku UAS partner institutions. However, you need to cover the costs of everyday living in Finland, including accommodation and travel costs. Turku UAS does not offer scholarships for incoming exchange students.

Once you have been accepted as an exchange student to Turku UAS, you can start preparing for your study-abroad period.
