Student stories
Finland’’s happiness originates from its freedom and independence
When Kiran Drall arrived from India to Finland in the middle of a cold winter, she experienced a huge culture shock. Where could she buy food here? What should she wear in the freezing weather? What were stone-faced Finns really thinking?
As she tackled these questions, Drall began her studies on Turku UAS’ English-language bachelor’s degree programme in Social Services and Early Childhood Education. She had decided to give Finland a chance because she had found out that Finland is the happiest country in the world.
